The HTC Touch 3G is the part of HTC Touch Family and looks akin to Touch Viva. The reason is that the touch screen of both the gadgets is 2.8 inches (TFT) with 240 x 320 pixel resolution. Touch 3G is a thin and slim gadget, the keypad is small and is called a D-Pad (5 way) and the button for sending and ending calls also the button for power are on the top surface below the screen. Left side of the gadget has the control button for volume; earpiece on the right side and at the bottom there is a connector for mini-USB. That connector is used for connecting headset, charging the gadget or synching the phone with the computer. The backside of the gadget has an integrated camera with 3.2mega pixel.

The operating system used in the Touch 3G is the mobile Windows 6.1 Pro. The processor of HTC Touch 3G is Qualcomm 528 megahertz MSM7225, using the 256megabytes ROM and the memory of RAM is 192megabytes. The gadget also supports external memory that is MicroSD through which the memory can be increased; the slot for the card is under the cover of the battery. With the enhance technology Touch FLO the processing of the programs is very fast. The software of the Touch 3G includes Opera 9.5 as the browser, RSS reader, Youtube, Adobe Reader and GPS. Beside all the other features that can be seen in most devices, the Map Search is the new that one can only see in the Touch 3G. With the help of this feature accessing the Google map is quite easy.

To listen audio or music the user can access the application from Touch FLO, the application is cool and shows the covers of the album too. Filtering of tracks and making play list is also easy, when the user plugs the headset in the gadget the application shows the equalizer then. The quality of the sound is awesome, the application has normal other options like the shuffling or repeating of songs, audio boosting, library and etc.

Though the gadget has 3.2mp camera but the quality is a little weak comparing with other devices. The image through this camera has low light problems and sometimes give dull feeling. Using camera is easy and has many options like the selecting storage type, set timer, balancing of brightness and also the recording option that does in QVGA resolution.

Apart from its low performance of camera the transferring of data rate in Touch 3G is really awesome. The gadget uses the quad band module of GSM that is 850/900/1800 and the 1900megahertz. As the name of the gadget suggests, it offers the 3G technology of 7.2 mega bytes per second by HSDPA. The gadget uses the 802.11 b/g WiFi connectivity and also the GPRS, EDGE and UMTS. Surfing Internet anywhere is at the tips of your fingers. The gadget includes integrated receiver of GPS also, which is great for the option Map Search.

Only the 3G feature creates a difference between the HTC Touch 3G and Touch Viva otherwise both the gadgets are kind of same. Through this gadget the user can easily make video calls and can also watch streaming, for such users this gadget is the best. What’s more, the gadget has the 3G technology.

The newest version in the HTC Touch family is the Diamond 2 which is said to surpass the earlier version. This gizmo encompasses the renewed version of the TouchFLO 3D, that never ceases to amaze every eye, which gaze upon the interface of Diamond 2.

HTC has removed the old calculator and the calendar with the newest version, keys of the keyboard is changed too and now the user can set the keys to vibrate. There are also some changes done with the tool of word correction and made it more easy and reliable.

HTC also has done some impressive changes with the messaging application, with a decent interface where the user can directly do messaging from the list of contacts; also the history of the conversation is also saved and shown in the interface.
